New Resort Membership Agreements Waive ALL Membership Rights PDF Print E-mail
Written by Angel Fire Blog Publisher
Monday, 11 October 2010
Angel Fire Resort instituted a new membership agreement for Base, Premier and Platinum members this past May.   The agreement came as a surprise to a few  AAFPO Board members since the Resort had not presented the agreement to the Board for review as specified in the bankruptcy documents. Per the Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization (AJPoR), the Resort is required to present any rule change to the Board prior to implementation.  If the Board does not respond within forty-five (45) days, the Resort may implement the change. AAFPO reserves the right to sue the Resort if the Board feels that the provisions violate the letter or “spirit” of the AJPoR.

Membership Dues Increase PDF Print E-mail
Written by Future USAF Retirees
Monday, 16 April 2007

To all,

Angel Fire Resort Membership DuesMy wife and I are absolutely disgusted at the increase in our membership dues on our unimproved property in Angel Fire Resort.  We bought the land to build on in 10 years after both of us retire from the US Air Force.  Because of this gross increase in membership dues, it is no longer fiscally possible for us to keep the land.  I cannot and will not understand how the board can justify charging a property owner $1000+ in membership dues who lives on a different continent and is not using ANY of the so-called benefits of such membership.  It is absurd and you are driving out potential future neighbors becuase of poor decision making by the board members.  My wife and I will continue to serve and protect your freedoms so you can live in your "little world" and enjoy the "free lunch" we unimproved property owners are providing you $1087 at a time.  Our property is going up for sale... and unfortunately for 2 combat war veterens, we are the ones who get to suffer.

Tuesday, 26 September 2006

Vacant StarFire Lodge For nearly one year now the Starfire Lodge remain rundown and vacant.

When resort manager Jon Mohanna was questioned by severl members at the Annual Member Meeting 2006 he stated no plans had been made to repair or demolish it.

The, once attractive, building has a chain link fence surrounding it highlighting it's continued deterioration!

What an embarasement to have to drive by this eyesore on our way home with visiting guests!
