A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

Periods of moderate to heavy snow can be expected this morning with showers gradually decreasing in coverage and intensity this afternoon. Storm total accumulations will reach 2 to 6 inches below 7500 feet with 6 to 10 inches above 7500 feet. Locally up to 16 inches of snow is possible on west facing slopes of the San Juan Mountains. Locations near the Colorado border will receive the most snow... with lighter amounts farther south.

Additionally... west and southwest winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are possible... creating areas of blowing and drifting snow with near white out conditions at times.
